The cooling hit right away when I put it on, and the lavender actually helped me relax through the worst cramps. The organic cotton cover is noticeably softer against my skin than the usual synthetic pads I've used.
The mint and aloe really shine through—it's like a gentle breeze down there on the worst days. The organic cotton cover feels soft and breathable, not scratchy at all like some others I've tried.
The cooling kick from the mint and aloe actually lasts through the first few hours, which is a game-changer on heavy days. Only gripe is the pads run a touch narrow for my liking, but the organic cotton cover feels way less irritating than the usual synthetic top layer.
